How to share photos with Instant Upload
Automatically upload your photos and videos as you take them using Instant Upload. Instant Upload uploads photos and videos you take with your phone to a private album on Google+, where it’s easy for you to share them later from your phone or from your computer.
Instant Upload is only available for Android devices (2.1+) with the Google+ app installed.
Enable Instant Upload on your phone
To get started, enable instant upload on your phone. Once you’ve enabled Instant Upload, all photos taken with your phone will appear in your Photos tab in Photos from your phone. These photos are only visible to you until you post them or move them to an album that you’ve shared.
Post photos from your phone to the Stream
- Click on the photos homepage
in Google+. - Select Photos from your phone on the left.
- Click the photos you’d like to share to select them. A red line will show around selected photos.
- Click the Share button at the top of the page.
- Write a note to accompany your photos.
- Choose the circles and friends you’d like to share with.
- Click Share.
Add photos from your phone to albums
- Click on the photos homepage
in Google+. - Select Photos from your phone on the right.
- Click the photos you’d like to move to select them. A red line will show around selected photos.
- Click the Add to album button at the top of the page.
- Type an album name to create a new album, or click add to an existing album to choose an album you already have.
- Click on a photo to rotate, delete from the selections, or add a caption before you add to the album.
- Click Add to album.
Photos that you add to albums will still be accessible from your Photos from your phone page.
